It has always been frowned upon for a
black man to be vulnerable, weak and emotional.
He was never encouraged to seek therapy or to express
his problems. Instead it was instilled into him to
hide his pain and, just "man up!"
Many black men don't grow up in a two parent
households, some have their fathers present, but not
actually present. While others have no presence
of any male presence at all, they only had their others.
The rest of them raised themselves in a world that tries
to erases their existence.
I need our Black Men to know that his emotions
are not his weakness but a strength. Through his
vulnerability and adversary, he survives and
thrives with finess. It is better for a man to
understand himself and take accountability of his
actions than hold his head down and burry his self
with pride and shame.
So I say to you today Black Man, be all of who you are
in all of your strength and weakness. For your tears are seen,
your pain is heard and you are not alone. It will be ok.
Let go and Love You! You are God made and you are
needed, which means you have purpose. We are here to listen,
to understand, and to love all of who you are. You
are strength! You are the foundation and we need YOU, BLACK KING!
